As part of our Funding Plus programme, and in recognition of Stress Awareness month, we recently shared a range of free stress management resources – a Stress Self Assessment and a Stress Talking Toolkit – which were developed and adapted in partnership with Bruntwood.
Leanne Mullen, Culture & Engagement Manager at Bruntwood, also ran two webinars to explain both these toolkits, and provided reassurance and further resources for charities and managers to roll them out to their colleagues. Overall, twelve colleagues from nine different organisations participated in the two sessions.
Feedback from the sessions was very positive, with attendees finding the materials and framework extremely useful in giving them the confidence to have potentially difficult but necessary conversations about stress:
“We had a member of staff who was really struggling and the resources Leanne was able to signpost us to were really useful and had a genuine impact on the person concerned and greatly helped in their recovery and the ongoing management of their condition.”
Following the success of these sessions, we are working on providing access to further resources, such as: Best Practice Recruitment; Difficult Conversations, Driving a High Performing Team, Team Management, Management Styles, Supporting Team Wellbeing, and Time Management and Effective Meetings for Managers. All of these quality resources have been developed by Bruntwood and will be adapted where appropriate for the VCFSE sector. Do watch this space and sign up to join sessions or register interest.
And finally, if you have any suggestions for further topics that your organisation would find useful to learn more about, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at the OCT.
