Announcement on the death of our Chair, Kate Vokes, and her son Archie

The Oglesby Charitable Trust Trustees and family are devastated to share the terrible news that our Chair, Kate Vokes, and her son Archie, were killed in an avalanche on the 28th December.  As you can imagine, the family and the Trust team are heartbroken. 

We also know how truly loved, admired and respected she was by so many people in our sector – those working in organisations we are funding, and so many more beyond. As well as being a real changemaker, across communities, places and our four focus areas, Kate connected effortlessly on a personal level with everyone she encountered. We will all feel her loss acutely.

We will be taking some time to grieve and to regroup as a Trust. We remain committed to the issues Kate cared so passionately about and to continuing to create thriving communities.
